Great to see so many people at the Mobility Roadshow
24 September 2010
Thank you to everyone who took the time to visit us at the Mobility Roadshow last weekend. This was our first appearance at a major exhibition and we felt so encouraged by the response we got for our business.

People came from as far as Aberdeenshire, Ayrshire, Inverness-shire and Perthshire, even Bristol, to try out some of the products and services the roadshow had gathered together for people experiencing mobility issues. There was a palpable sense of community; between the many associations that had gathered for the event, the exhibitors and the event organisers.
We heard a great many stories from people of very different circumstances. So it was especially gratifying to receive such a positive response to our service from so many of the people who introduced themselves over the two days. People clearly found our focus on style refreshing and they seemed to really enjoy meeting Andrea, our team OT, and get a better understanding of the sort of services that are available, either through social services or privately through organisations like ours.
We are looking forward to catching up with everyone who wanted to talk more after the event. And if you have some thoughts on the types of events we should be attending, let me know on lisa@rubyss.co.uk.
Lisa set up Ruby Slippers when she discovered how little specialist assistance was available to help her family update their homes in their retirement years. Here, she regularly shares her thoughts and experiences.
